COMMUNITY-BASED PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION IN THE NORTH-WEST FEDERAL DISTRICT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

On March 25, 2021, the Union for Mental Health is holding the second interregional conference of the series of online events aimed at highlighting the activities of regional non-profit organizations of the Russian Federation that provide assistance to people with mental disabilities. The focus of this event will be problems and practices which the NGOs of the North-Western Federal District face in the field of psychosocial rehabilitation services they provide for people with mental health conditions.

The first conference was held on December 22, 2020 and highlighted the experience of NGOs in the Volga Federal District that were able to rebuild and continue their activities in the context of the crisis associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The speakers discussed issues of interaction between psychiatric institutions and NGOs, the development of out-of-hospital care, the problems of switching to online technologies and other relevant topics.

The second conference will continue to broadcast the experience and identify the urgent needs of NGOs and recipients of psychosocial rehabilitation services.
