The Union for Mental Health (Moscow, Russia) in cooperation with the Yaroslavl State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Yaroslavl, Russia), the Volga Region State Research Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Nizhiy Novgorod, Russia), and the Pirogov State Russian National Research University (Moscow, Russia) will hold the II Online All-Russian Interuniversity Scientific Conference “MENTAL HEALTH: MODERN TRENDS & PROSPECTS” on 18 February 2021 at 4 p.m.

The Conference is aimed at raising awareness on mental health via presentation of modern approaches to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental and behavioral disorders among senior students at medical universities in Russia. It will serve also for developing networks and cooperation in mental health field between Russian universities and improving attitudes to psychiatry as a one of the leading sciences in mental health.

 

The keynote report “Mental Health: from Research to Policy and Practice” will be presented by Dr. Shekhar Saxena, MD,  FRCPsych,  DAB, Professor of the Practice of Global Mental Health at the Department of Global Health and Population at the Havard T. H. Chan School of Public Health (Boston, USA).

 

The Conference is the part of the All-Russian Interuniversity Educational Program for students of medical and non-medical universities - future specialists in the field of mental health.
